Depression- Depression can be dangerous to one’s health significantly if it lasts for a long time and has a moderate or extreme severity. It can make the affected person suffer much and perform poorly in school.
Anxiety- When someone is experiencing anxiety the majority of their mental capacity is used to create and process worrisome thoughts. This can make it extremely difficult to focus on positive thoughts and can be very exhausting for the student, which detracts from their learning abilities
Substance Abuse- A study conducted concluded that drug abuse among students has caused dropping out of school, strained relationship with other students, lack of interest in studying, low concentration span and declining grade.
Schizophrenia- Patients consistently show deficits in tasks of explicit leaving memory. In contrast their performance implicit processing tasks often appears to be relatively intact, though most studies have focused on implicit learning of motor skills.
Conduct disorder- Some children with conduct disorder seem to have a problem in the frontal lobe of the brain. This interferes with a child's ability to plan, stay away from harm and learn from negative experiences. Some experts believe that a series of traumatic experiences occurs for a child to develop a conductor disorder.
