If Antigone were set in today’s time, she would be still protesting about the matter of burial towards other people and herself. She would feel strongly about this issue because in our time, it costs lots of money to have someone buried with a ceremony and lots of people do not have enough money to be able to have this happen to a family member or a friend. Since Antigone’s brother died, she had a passion about burying his body. But, she was not allowed to do so according to Kreon, her uncle. She asked her sister to help her bury him but she did not agree to disobey Kreon. So, Antigone did it herself without leaving any traces that it was her.
