Outline three levels of government and their responsibility
There are three arms/levels of the government. They include; the judiciary which consists of the supreme court judges, magistrates, and judicial judges. The executive consists of the president, deputy president, cabinet secretary, and attorney general. The legislature consists of the national assembly and the senate.
(a). The role of the judiciary include;
- ensuring justice is pursued to all regardless of their status, ascertain that justice is not delayed as justice delayed is justice denied, ensuring justice is conducted equally and fairly, they ensure that the motive of the constitution is secured.
(b) The role of the executive;
- addresses the opening of the succeeding parliament, be in charge of the several government reports, plan and put together the various government policies, chairs the cabinet meetings, addresses the nation on actions taken and progress received.
(c) The role of the legislature;
-makes and changes laws that govern people in the state, to approve claims of war and extension of state emergency, to represent the people in the constituency, to appoint or not appoint presidential appointees, secures the interests of people in the country, regulates issuing of national revenue among counties.
