why does english is a universal language?
The English language is considered as a universal language, mainly because it is the most spoken language worldwide. English is also one of the most studied languages all across the world, most of the countries teach it as a second language from primary school. Despite other languages having more speakers, English is the universal language. This is because, at one time, the British Empire had great influence over the world. English is the most useful language in the world, and its “universal language” status proves that fact. Thus, the language spread throughout many continents.
