What does Nelson Mandela mean when he says "an injury to one is an injury to all"?
Countless people, both inside and outside the country, had the courage of their convictions to stand up against tyranny and injustice without pursuing personal advantage. They understood that a harm to one is a damage to all, so they banded together to defend justice and human decency. Nelson Mandela meant to establish the dates for all mankind to come together to celebrate one of the greatest human accomplishments of the century because of their courage and perseverance over many years.
