Researchers conduct different types of interviews when collecting data. Identify and explain four types of interviews as outlined by Du Plooy (2013:179–18
1) structured interview- it involves tight control over the format of questions and answers, it's like a questionnaire administered face to face by a respondent. The researcher has a predetermined choice of questions.
2)semi- structured interview_ in this the researcher also has a clear list of issues to be addressed and questions to be answered. This type the interviewee is given the chance to develop his ideas and speak more widely in the issues addressed.
3) Un- structured interview- in this emphasis is placed in the interviewees thoughts.
4) single interview- It involves a meeting between a researcher and an informant. It is easier to arrange this type of interview.
