1. Religion advocates the avoidance of alcohol and drug abuse at a young age. Drug and substance abuse is one of the major contributors of teenage pregnancies.
2. Religion does not support abortion. It upholds the fact that killing an innocent life is a sin.
3. Religion also teaches about self-worthiness and pride about the body. This helps the teenage girls to understand the development of their bodies and generate pride being women which helps to reduce teenage pregnancies.
4. Religion considers pre-marital sex as a taboo. It discourages teenagers against engaging in sex before marriage which helps to reduce pregnancies.
5. Religion advises that younger children should not be allowed to go on trips for days without some elder guidance. It also advises that teenagers should avoid going for night out without any elder guidance.
