2.1 Places of worship
The church honors and respects people from all religions, no matter where or when they lived. Recommendation; the places of worship can start by accommodating their people or other outside people in need for prayer and observance of religious duties.
2.2 Schools
Schools respect diversity by encouraging students to be accepting of cultural differences and view them as a unique learning opportunity to make discoveries about people they may never have known.
Recommendation; cultural diversity should be seen as a benefit and students should have multiple opportunities to explore different cultures.All the students in school are unique individuals, so use that fact to build diverse and inclusive school culture.
2.3 Shops
To ensure diversity, shops employ people from diverse cultures and also showcase goods from different cultures without discrimination.
Recommendation; a shop should value all input. Culture and what it means to belong feels different to different people. When deciding where to focus your efforts, a truly inclusive,positive workplace culture will support both senior and junior employees,creating a sense of belonging with all.
2.4 Sporting avenues
For diversity to become normalised within sporting avenues, sporting governance structures and leadership roles are diverse. They encourage diversity amongst those taking on coaching, management and committee level roles and recognising that they might need more support to do this is important for promoting and supporting diversity within the sporting avenues as a whole.
Recommendation; national and state policies that support diversity are rarely actively used. To be practically useful, policies need to move beyond broad policy statements and codes of conduct to provide specific guidance and resources on how sports can engage with and embed diversity.
2.5 Health centres
Diversity in any work place means having a workforce comprised of multiple races, ages, genders,ethnicities, and orientations. The hospital centre has medical and administrative staff which represents a wide range of experiences and background.
Recommendation; the hospital centres can employ people of diverse cultures and also take in patients of diversified culture.
2.6 Government offices
In ensuring respect for diversity, the government is a representative of the population it serves. It hires and retains a diverse pool of talent that brings with them unique experiences, opinions, and thoughts on critical local issues to help enhance administration’s ability to serve the needs of its entire population.
Recommendation; leaders could establish diversity and inclusion committees, if their government does not have them, and ask these committees for ideas on how to make their organizations more attractive to a wider range of diverse talent. Diversity and inclusion training for staff, leaders and hiring public officials could also be useful.
