When individuals are excluded from a group, they may feel resentment, withdrawn, and even a negative self-image or lack of confidence.
If employees feel isolated and/or misunderstood, it can result in a loss of faith in the facility for a successful future. This can lead to a loss of interest in their job and, ultimately, a loss of organizational loyalty.
When diversity is not respected, it can lead to a loss of talented employees. Losing talented employees due to a lack of diversity is bad for business on so many levels.
Culturally diverse workers inform the concerned employees or managers about the culture of their respective countries. Where there is no respect for diversity, the managers and concerned employees will lack sufficient information about the culture of the foreign country.
Diversity helps in the expansion of an organization’s perspective, approach, strategic tactics, launch of a new product, development of a marketing plan, creation of a new idea, design of a new operation, and assessment of emerging trends. This cannot be achieved when diversity is disrespected.
