One of the attributes of a good teacher is the ability to reflect . what does it mean to be a reflective practitioner ? 5 marks
To be a reflective practitioner, an educator must employ formative assessment to assess students' learning via offering differentiated lessons as a tool for DIP research. Being a reflective practitioner entails being attentive to students' interests, learning, and needs. A reflective practitioner ponders their curriculum and what it would take to change the instruction so that students leave with understandings and skills that would help them transition to the next phase of learning. Teachers who are reflective on the nature of demands and attentive to them are the ones who can bring about change. Reflection aids in the development of teachers' practical knowledge and allows them to build the ability to learn from their experiences. A reflective practitioner enhances their ability to create positive change and combine diverse components of teaching. A reflective practitioner is one who "surfaces, analyzes, restructures, and embodies in further activity the understandings that have been latent in one's behavior."
