Write a sentence explaining the main idea of the text
Find out the pattern used for organizing information in both paragraphs and justify your
point.
1. The story of the city mouse and the country mouse is one version of the age-old debate
between the people who prefer city life and those who prefer country life. In the city there
is always something to do. But in the country, you can always find peace and quiet. In the
city, you are constantly exposed to new and different kinds of people. On the other hand,
in the country, you are always among familiar faces. These are the images we have. The
reality is less clear-cut. Rural towns do have their night spots, and even New York City has places to escape to and be alone with your thoughts.
1.Life in the city is better than life in the countryside
2.Anticipating the order in which the material will be presented helps you put the facts into perspective and to see how the parts fit into the whole. For example, if the selection begins by indicating that there are four important components of management, you are alert to look for four key phrases to mark and remember. Likewise, if a comparison is suggested, you want to note the points that are similar in nature. For material that shows cause and effect, you need to anticipate the linkage and note the relationship.
