Compare and discuss in detail the three listening phases by indicating in which listening phases (sorting, classifying, questioning, associating and making conclusion take place).
Listening is an active process by which we make sense of, assess, and respond to what we hear. The listening process involves five stages:
Receiving - involves getting the transmitted information.
Understanding - involves getting sense in the information communicated.
Evaluating - This is where sorting and classifying information comes in.
Remembering - Someone tries to see if he can remember the information related to the one communicated in order to respond.
Responding - here someone makes conclusion and gives feedback
