Presenting the problem and aloud is an example of a scaffolding technique that suits Grade 5 learners. In this case, I should be in apposition to know the level of my student’s understanding regarding the lesson such that I will be in a position to model out problems as a crucial part of the scaffolding. I should be in a position of presenting my teachings to such groups using body action, language, and images when demonstrating how to solve the problem. Furthermore, I should vividly explain the problem in a way that appears to be understood easily through the application of verbal and non-verbal cues and by using graphic demonstrations like the use of maps and flow charts.
