Dance will help develop muscles, tone the body, improve circulation, improve posture, balance, coordination and promote greater flexibility. Flexibility is often overlooked as a benefit but can really decrease the chances of injury especially in an active child.
Music helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills.
Drama.Kindergartners can play out a variety of themes that lend themselves to both fine- and gross-motor activity.Whatever the dramatic-play activity, encourage children to build on it by finding ways to include opportunities to develop physical skills that stretch their bodies and their imaginations.
