Covid-19 pandemic brought about several changes in the society with crime being no exception. Research shows that COVID-19 pandemic majorly increased four types of crime: homicide, robbery, theft and burglary. criminal justice system worked tirelessly towards fighting different types of crimes by using measures such as curfew whereby there is a regulation requiring people to remain indoors between specified hours, typically at night.There was also ban of alcohol since research shows that majority of criminals conduct crimes when they are not sober. Introduction of covid 19 rules such as mandatory movement with masks, conduct social distance in all gatherings and the criminal justice system would punish those who fail to adhere by the law.
