What is the difference between consumptive and non-consumptive uses?
The terms consumptive and non-consumptive terms are often used in the context of natural resources. Consumptive uses are the ones that reduces the quality and/or quantity of the natural resource in a non-renewable fashion. Non-consumptive uses are the ones in which the quantity and/or quality are not affected as the natural resource is being exploited.
