Sarcasm is one of the effective styles that literature artists use to hummer their massage home. The style is very effective when used appropriately. Sarcasm is the use of irony or mock words or statements to pass a message. Also referred to as satire, sarcasm is used as an indirect messaging method in cases where the writer needs to avoid the use of harsh, violent words. It can also be used to release tension in literature while passing the message at the same time. Another application for irony is to include mockery in serious or in statements that the writer believes could be misunderstood. In cases where adult language is used to ensure that your readers do not get the deeper meaning of a statement, for example, sarcasm would be a nice choice of style to use (Chaudhari, & Chandankhede, 2017). Thus sarcasm could be used to pass different messages aimed at a different audience within the same passage or statements. Sarcasm or irony is a practical way of ensuring that the message is received by the target audience in the right manner. Sarcasm is also applicable when the writer needs to put some emphasis on a point. Since mockery and irony is easy to remember, the use of sarcasm helps in ensuring that the audience understands and also remembers the message within the statements.
