Examine your thoughts about Locke's beliefs that children are born with empty knowledge and blank slate
John Locke believed that children were born as blank slates beginning their lives neutral. He believed that infants did not possess either goodness or evil traits. The nature and personality developed over childhood and within time. The adults that surround a child have a great effect in the molding of their character and influencing how they turn out to be. Locke stated that a child has to receive basic and necessary teaching before they could be instructed. Children should be taught great virtues, wisdom ,breeding and learning that will manifest in later days.
