Electronic communication is the meaningful exchange of information by technological means particularly through electrical signals or electromagnetic waves. Examples of electronic communication include email, instant messaging, websites, blogs, text messaging and video messaging.

There are various ways of using electronic communication to effectively facilitate reading. These include;

• Including a specific subject line- The subject should be clear and concise to enable the recipient know what the message is about even before opening it. It also help them locate the email easily in future.
• Keeping your message short and sweet. Your message will have a better chance of being read in a timely manner if its succinct and to the point. Good communicators express their ideas in as few words as possible to avoid confusion and get their points across.
