Gender Based Violence can be addressed in the following ways;
- Protecting women by improving laws and policies and raising awareness of women's rights.
- Providing redress by strengthening institutional responses to gender based violence
- Putting in place measures that eliminate all beliefs, norms and practices that discriminate against women or sanction violence and abuse.
- Investigate all cases of gender based violence and punish those responsible while providing adequate care and protection to the victims and survivors.
