Yes, it is true that prejudices, stereotypes and insensitivity makes the story unsuitable for intermediate learners since it will affect their interaction negatively. Accordingly, these three aspects makes learners to develop the tendency to categorize individuals or groups according to an oversimplified standardized image and attribute certain characteristics to all members of the group. In this case, they create illusionary expectations, as shown in the participants' responses. However, stereotypical aspects do not accurately portray individuals and their history, and can impede the effectiveness of intercultural communication. On order to avoid the negative impact of these factors on intermediate learners, it is essential avoid exposing them to the story or ideas outlined in it.
