'Most schools and colleges spend too money preparing students for careers and not enough preparing them to make social decisions.' Do you agree with this statement
I strongly agree. This is because the school curriculum is designed in a way that instils knowledge, skills and career empowerment as opposed to social decisions. For example, making friends, socializing, having a conversation with peers is often seen as a waste of time. However, this helps people develop an emotional connection, relieve stress and also make lifelong relationships which are far much better than career preparation.
Social decisions should also be encouraged since out of that, one may learn how to select good friends, who may end up being partners or employers in future. Thus decision-making learning and career development should both be encouraged.
