In paragraph 8, the author states, “Most schools and colleges spend too much money preparing students for careers and not enough preparing them to make social decisions.” Do you agree with this statement? In a paragraph of 100 words, give reasons to substantiate your answer. (10)
It is true that most schools or colleges focus on preparing students acquire education by restricting the units in their courses. The units largely focus on the courses and not social skills that can help the students to wade through the murky waters of unemployment after school. These institutions must ensure that the curriculum is all-encompassing to ensure that students or graduates develop social skills that can help them in decision-making about their social life as well as inculcating flexibility to adopt other professions. It is saddening because many graduates lack such skills that deny them a great life outside the classroom just because they cannot interact with others well.
