Differentiate between hearing and listening.
Hearing is the act of perceiving sound into one's ear. It only happens automatically if the an individual is not hearing impaired. Hearing can receive different kinds of sound both with meaning and others that might not be of meaning to the individual. On the other hand, listening involves conscious choosing of the sound that one receives. It requires concentration to be able to decode the information and interpret to provide meaning.
