Find the impedance of the circuit if supply voltage is v(t) =110sin(20t+30 )+220cos(20t-90 )V and the current i(t)=30cos(20t+60 )-20sin(20t+60 )A

. A resistance strain gage with a gage factor of 2.4 is mounted on a steel beam whose modulus of

elasticity is 2x106kg/cm2

. The strain gage has an unstrained resistance of 120.0Ω which

increases to 120.1Ω when the beam is subjected to a stress. Calculate the stress at the point

where the strain gage is mounted

Write a Python program to input the Username, City, Pricel and Price2. Find the average price. Display the output based on the following conditions as shown below. condition Discount Average between 999 and 2000 Average between 2000 and 5000 Otherwise 2.5% 3% 5%

a. Determine the amplitude, frequency and phase difference between the two waveforms

illustrated in below figure:

b. Determine the pulse amplitude, frequency, rise time, and fall time of the waveform illustrated

in below figure:

d. Determine the displayed rise time when a pulse waveform with a rise time of 21 ns is applied to

an oscilloscope that has an upper cutoff frequency of (a) 20 MHz and (b) 50MHz.

c. Determine the minimum time/division sensitivity for an oscilloscope that is to be used to

investigate a 50 MHz waveform.Assume that the time base magnifier expands the horizontal

display by a factor of 5.

e. A 1kHz triangular wave with a peak amplitude of 10 V is applied to the vertical deflecting

plates of a CRT. A 1kHz sawtooth wave with a peak amplitude of 20 V is applied to the

horizontal deflecting plates. The CRT has a vertical deflection sensitivity of 0.4cm/V,and a

horizontal deflection sensitivity of 0.25cm/V.Assuming that the two inputs are synchronised,

determine the waveform displayed on the screen.

f. A digital storage oscilloscope has a sampling rate of 100MS/s. Determine the number

of samples taken during one cycle of a 3MHz sine wave, and during a 15µs pulse. Also,

estimate the maximum time period of a glitch that might be missed by the sampling

process.

A capacitance is made of two parallel conducting plates as shown in the figure and the distance

between the plates is ‘d’. (i) Write the value of capacitance as a function of all the possible dimensions

from L,W, h and d (ii) if a dielectric slab of thickness ‘t’ and area of cross-section A (length L, width W)

(t<d), and relative permittivity εr is inserted in between the plates, what will be the value of

capacitance (iii) If a voltage V is applied between the plates, find the voltage across various sections

(iv) If a dielectric slab is of length L/2 , width ‘W’, thickness ‘t’ and relative permittivity εr is inserted

in between the plates from right end , what is the value of capacitance.

A series R L circuit is connected to a 110V, 50 Hz ac source. If the voltage across the resistor is 85 V,

find the power dissipated in the circuit, if the value of inductor is 0.05 H
