3. If aluminum and tin were used as the electrodes in a galvanic cell which metal would be the anode and which metal would be the cathode. Explain why.

1. The anode is the negative electrode

2. from anode to cathode

3. The metal with the relatively higher electropositivity which in this case is Aluminium would be the anode and the metal with the lower electropositivity which in this case is Tin would be the cathode.
