Can’t the analyst use dispose NaOH solution as a titrant?

sodium hydroxide absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. As a result of it the strength of NaOH changes with time.


A dispose NaOH solution contain enough amount of CO2 and moisture inside . So, dispose NaOH is not only different in strength but also contaminated as well.

That's why dispose NaOH can't be used as a titrant.
