Hi I want to ask a question on how to get the average kinetic energy when molecular weight is given and temperature

Kinetic energy refers to the energy which particles contact while in motion.

Kinetic energy is obtained by"k.E = 1\/2(mu^2)"


Where m is the mass in our case molecular mass ,and U2 is the molecular speed of the atom.

U takes form in three dimension x,y,z as motion of particle is random.


U =ux +uy+uz.


hence the molecular speed (u) includes all the coordinates.
