Hydronium ion is formed by combining H2O molecule with H+ion.

If the concentration of hydronium ion(H3O+) in a solution increases it indicates the presence of a strong acid. The stronger the acid the higher the concentration of H3O+. An increase in the concentration of hydronium ion also indicates a larger value of acid ionization constant("Ka" ) of an acid.
