Aminocentesis is a test carried out on pregnant mothers, used to detect chromosome abnormalities in the foetus such as Down's syndrome. While serving as a mean of early abnormalities detection, it has a significant implication on the child life in the case of the positive result. If Down syndrome is detected the mother may want to interrupt the pregnancy, which raises moral and ethical issues on the power of the people to take someone’s life.
