Explain the difference between an intron and an exon? In 3-4 sentence

An exon is a coding fragment of the gene and remains in the final mature mRNA transcript. In contrast, an intron is deleted from the mature mRNA. Introns and exons have different regulatory sequences and are differently recognized by splicing factors and splicing regulators.
