Part III: Protein synthesis:
Describe the role of each of the following in the process of protein synthesis
iii) T-RNA
tRNA (transfer RNA) is an adapter RNA molecule that links nucleotide sequence in mRNA with corresponding amino acid sequence during the translation on ribosomes. Each tRNA molecule has a trinucleotide region called the anticodon and a region for attaching a specific amino acid. During translation, each time an amino acid is added to the growing chain, a tRNA molecule forms base pairs with its complementary sequence on the mRNA molecule providing the insertion of the appropriate amino acid into the protein.
