Describe the role of each of the following in the process of protein synthesis
i) Enzymes
Enzymes provide the control of all steps of protein synthesis. For example, some translation factors are GTPases that regulate specific interactions, assembly, and remodeling of protein synthesis machinery. Other enzymes, in particular, kinases and phosphatases regulate the activity of key components of protein synthesis. Finally, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase activates the appropriate amino acid by linking it to the corresponding tRNA.
