Students’ Experiences of Racial Discrimination. The following are factors that have contributed to the choice of the research topic.

The scholars' own passions and ideals. A sociologist will certainly be more driven to research what they are passionate about – and nothing inspires like firsthand knowledge.

Funding

Because sociologists are specialists who want financing for their scholarly, financing agencies have the ability to affect research disciplines.

Society as whole changes, and new areas of research will arise as a result.
