Because sociologists are specialists who want financing for their scholarly, financing agencies have the ability to affect research disciplines.
Society as whole changes, and new areas of research will arise as a result.

1. What is the issue that has to be resolved?
Every good research endeavor addresses a specific issue. It is critical that you can express your problem succinctly: in one phrase, one paragraph, or one page.
2. Who is concerned about this issue and why?
If you can't answer this question, you're dealing with one of two issues. 1) The issue isn't urgent enough for you to waste your time on it. 2) You have not given enough thought to why you're working on this project.
