My community is facing child abuse. It is any physical, sexual or psychological maltreatment or neglect of a child or children, especially by a parent or a caregiver. Child abuse may include any act or failure to act by a parent or a caregiver that results in actual or potential harm to a child and can occur in a child's home, or in the organizations, schools, or communities the child interacts with and this has been a major challenge currently witnessed in my community.
The following clinical sociology roles are useful in tackling this problem of child abuse. Firstly is the role of providing well-being and self-help couching, secondly the role to provide housing and trauma services and the role of administration group therapy would help in settling the problem of child abuse in the community.
