Labeling theory enables teachers to actively participate in judging their students on a timely basis, judging student’s habits in class, response and attitude to learning, student’s overall reports, and their interaction with parents.

Strength of labeling theory

With labeling theory, the teacher will be in apposition to push pupils they think to be brighter harder while expecting less from the pupil they have labeled less efficient.

Weakness of labeling theory

Labeling influences teachers in a larger magnitude of influence which will, in turn, affect the learning and performance of the student.
