a) Several actors are involved in court processes in the Ghanaian legal system. Briefly establish the different roles these actors play in ensuring that court proceedings are viable. CR(10 Marks)

b) In the typology of disputes, there can always be serious controversies between individuals within the family circle over family estate and property. Clearly distinguish at least three causes of dispute among the children of a man who died intestate. AP(5 Marks)

c) The following cases have been dealt with at the Accra high court this week: Case 1: Concerned Teachers Union (CTU) took the government to court for nonpayment of Teachers’ allowances.

Case 2: GRA took Melcom to court for non-payment of taxes.

Case 3: Tenants took Landlord to court for constant and exorbitant increase of rent.

Briefly examine the various cases vis-à-vis the categorization of societal disputes.

Judiciary of Ghana consists of ;

1.superior courts of judicature comprising the supreme court which is final court of appeal and deals with matters concerning enforcement.

2.court of appeal which has the right to hear and to determine appeals from any judgement decree or high court of justice order.

3.high court which has jurisdiction in all matters civil and criminal, other than those involve treason.

b. 1.Unequal distribution of resources such as land or money may create conflicts among the children of the deceased since there is no will each one feels she/he given a small portion.

2.Conflicts on life interest as each one fights to get a share.

3.If any child feels that power of appointment as been unreasonably exercised this will raise a conflict.

c. Case 1 this is labour management conflict the government does not do according to promised the teachers. The labour act covers all employees and employers except those in strategic positions the act establishment of public and private employment centers.

case 2;Ghana revenue authority is charged with the task of assessing ,collecting, and accounting for the tax revenue hence they must ensure maximum compliance with relevant laws in order to ensure sustainable revenue stream and safe flow of goods across the country boarders.

case 3;is the housing conflict the landlord is not required to increase the rent constantly without the consent of tenants.
