This term refers to how people present themselves to others and how they shape their interactions with others partly. The way people are raised and what they were raised believing in majorly affects their present, themselves and how they perceive others. Peoples backgrounds and beliefs colour their perceptions of reality.

 

So agents of socialization are there to pass around culture and transmit it around. These agents include organizations and people that help others in learning about their social world.

 

Examples of the Agents of socialization include religion, peer groups, family, and the media.
