What is social stratification?
Social stratification its a concept in sociology that describes the classification of people and groups according to the various existing hierarchies in terms of status, power, race etc. It outlines society's categorization of people into groups based on class, race and gender. Social stratification identifies the existence of social classes in various societies.
Seemingly social stratification refers to the unequal distribution of total stock of goods. Here, the most privileged people and families enjoy a disproportionate share of income, power and other valuable resources.
