Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs is one of the best-known theories of motivation. It states that peoples actions are motivated by certain physiological needs. The way it arranges those needs in order of urgency makes sense and therefore believe that it is still one of the best motivational theories.

The New theory

I believe that the New theory is more elaborate and practical in nature as compared to the original. For example,

research says that the happiest people are those that tend to be involved in their community. It is a correlation that is still being debated for it could also mean that being involved in the community creates the happiest people.

I agree with the updates as they are more realistic and that human beings do not have to fulfil one need fully before demanding for the other. They can occur simultaneously.

The theory still needs some updates to ensure it covers the current changes in technology that affects people's demands.
