2.1. Only the teacher should make assessment judgments on learners' performances related to topics in CAPS- disagree. This is because there are other key stakeholders who should be involved in making assessment judgments on learners’ performances.
2.2. Assessment may be regarded as the vehicle driving teaching and learning towards the destination. This analogy explains the role of the learners very well as they are the passengers in the vehicle while the teacher is the driver- agree. This is because through assessment both teachers and students are able to work towards the accomplishment of their goal.
2.3. Not all assessments occurring in school contexts are planned- agree. Some of assessments in school come as a shock to the students for teachers to evaluate the learners understanding on certain topics previously taught.

This is because formative assessment helps students identify their strengths and weaknesses and target areas that need work and summative assessment evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark.
