Examination


The term examination means the conduct of an end-of-term and/or once-off end-of-year assessment; “external assessment” – means any assessment activity, instrument or program where the design, development and implementation has been initiated, directed and, coordinated by Provincial Education Departments and the Department of Basic Education either collectively or individually.


Essay

It’s a short piece of writing on a particular subject, especially one done by students as part of work for a course.


Project work


It is work which focuses on completing a task. Project work normally involves a lot of resources , time, people and materials - and learners practice a range of skills and language systems.

Portfolio work

Portfolio working or ‘having a portfolio career’ refers to dividing your time between several, often unrelated, tasks, jobs or projects.

This practice is encouraged a great deal as it helps the team members to understand the content in a better way so that everyone can benefit from peer-to-peer instructions.
