this notion in your own words
a) Teachers, learners themselves and peers or groups and moderators may assess learners' work in a school context and insight into their activities, shortcomings and strong points. Information about student learning can be assessed through both direct and indirect measures. Direct measures may include homework, quizzes, exams, reports, essays, research projects, case study analysis, and rubrics for oral and other performances. Examples of indirect measures include course evaluations, student surveys, course enrollment information, and retention in the major, alumni surveys, and graduate school placement rates.
b) Assessments can be regarded as the vehicle driving teaching and learning because assessments helps teachers and learners to measure their current understanding whether it suitable for future use. Assessments helps learners to understand what they have leaned and provide evidence of what they have achieve and what not. Also, through assessment both teachers and students are able to work towards the accomplishment of their goal.
