1. My last time to post unfiltered photo of myself was last week. The reason as to why I posted this unfiltered photo was to prove that am still cute without filters. This means my level of self-esteem is high in such a way that I can afford to post my unfiltered photo.
2. Encourage them to talk to someone, remind them that they don’t have to talk to you, but that it can really help to talk to someone. If they don’t feel comfortable talking in person, there are anonymous places to talk online, where people are trained to help rather than make someone with body image issues feel worse. Be encouraging and build them up as it is easy to become discouraged when you’re battling body image issues. Acknowledging that you see their efforts are important as well as reminding them that you love them no matter what they look like.
