What is the fundamental difference between “safety culture and safety climate”?
Safety climate can be understood as a shared perceptions of employees about the importance of safety within their organization. Moreover, this is associated with healthcare worker safety and outcomes of safety, and with healthcare worker injuries, exposures, and compliance with safe work practices. Whereas, Safety culture is defined as the way in which safety is managed in a workplace. It is the combination of beliefs, perceptions and attitudes of employees toward the safety of workers and the overall safety of the work environment.
