Considering Psychology as the science of behavior and mental life, what are the
fundamental differences between different schools of thought in Psychology, and the
methods that they employ?
Schools of thought in psychology mainly involve humanistic, cognitive, and behavioral aspects. These significantly influence the knowledge of psychology; the three aspects share a common ground and beliefs in psychology; however, there are different methods because each is independent and explains psychology concepts in different ways. The cognitive school of thought uses different methods because it focuses on information processing, learning, and cognitive teaching methods; the behavioral school of thought, on the other hand, focuses on contiguity, operant conditioning, observational learning, and behavioral methods of teaching. The humanistic school of thought uses humanistic beliefs and approaches to teaching.
