Question 1
Discuss why mass communication will be beneficial to get the messages of the non-profit organisation’s campaign across to school children.
Include references in your answer.
Mass communication will be advantageous to get the messages of the non-profit organization’s initiative across to school children. It serves public messages swiftly to many school children who are far away from the information source. The benefit of adopting mass communication is that it is prevalent and can swiftly deliver public messages to many individuals. By giving its viewers a realistic image of the world and government policies, mass communications can also help to shape public opinion. The mass communications network serves as a gatekeeper, relaying, limiting, expanding, and reinterpreting information. School children can be persuaded to modify their views, opinions, attitudes, and thinking on various subjects, including smoking, politics, and religious convictions. An educational policy may be swiftly brought to the public’s attention through the media. By broadcasting shared knowledge and experience messages, mass communication may help foster social contact and connection among schoolchildren.
