Cite a situation in which you can apply the knowledge about configuring a static address
A static IP address is an IP address that never changes and this kind of address is needed for devices that need constant access. An example is setting up a home file server to allow you access a home computer remotely. A shared printer is another situation of when to use a static IP address. When every computer is set up to connect to a shared printer in office or home, these connections remain indefinitely because the printer's IP address never changes thus helps to avoid IP address conflicts where DHCP might assign an address already assigned elsewhere.
