The media access control address(MAC) are unique identifiers to each and every device assigned to the network interface controller(NIC) of a device at the time of manufacturing by the manufacturer for use as a network address ensuring the physical address of a device while the IP address can be static or dynamic identifiers assigned to a device once a device connects to the internet and they are assigned locally by ISP but manged globally by the IANA(Internet Assigned Numbers Authority)
