In general, scientific discoveries have a direct impact on the development of technologies, which, in turn, are used in various areas of human life: from food to space flights. So, of particular value are the technologies that are used in the defense and environmental sectors. Consider the example of protective equipment. The simplest example is gas masks. The development of the chemical industry and design innovations made it possible to design a device (in fact, a gas mask) to protect the respiratory organs from chemical poisonous substances, biological preparations, etc. Other, less obvious, but no less important examples are body armor. Thus, the synthesis and testing of a material called "Kevlar" (para-aramid) simplified the design and adjustment of the production of a number of individual armor, as well as armor for military vehicles. Subsequently, the material was modernized, which made it possible to produce armor with increased protection. There are a great many different examples: from biotechnology to molecular modeling, the research results of which allow you to create many different protective ammunitions.
